PRESS RELEASE-iM4 English

AGS Racing SARL (AGS), based in Gonfaron, France announces the ‘iM4 Cup (iM4)’, a four-round championship starting in March 2025, open globally to drivers fourteen (14) years and older, limited to fifteen (15) seats.

iM4 is licensed by the ‘Federation Royale Marocaine De Sport Automobile (FRMSA)’, the ASN of Morocco. FRMSA will issue a race license for iM4 Cup drivers following an evaluation by AGS.

The championship will use the Mygale M21-F4 Gen2 (HALO) F4 cars in a one make, one team format, managed by AGS. The championship will provide a crucial head start for drivers making their debut in various single-seater championships in 2025/2026 or those graduating from karting into single seaters.

AGS Director Willy Collignon said ‘There is a big gap between competing in top level karting and top-level F4 championship in terms of driving style, confidence, adaptation but also budget. Drivers are increasingly testing a year prior (14 years old) to their single-seater debut with limited opportunities to get race experience in a Gen2 car. The transition from karting and testing to racing is usually a steep learning curve. iM4 will enable this transition in a controlled environment’.

iM4 will operate a blended academy and competition model, wherein all drivers progress under the guidance of experienced coaches, engineers and mechanics with equally prepared cars.

iM4 Academy includes a pre-season five-day evaluation program at the AGS facilities in March 2025 with a focus on physical-mental strength, technical understanding of the cars, technique, simulator training and communication skills. The program will shape individual driver profiles which will be used to provide tailored feedback as they progress through the championship.

The calendar will be made up of 4 rounds (12 races) and up to 10 days of combined academy and testing days.

Pre-Season testing slots are available from January 2025.
